The Tip Jar got an update today!
It’s always nice to give your readers more ways to support you, and we wanted to refresh the Tip Jar to make it even easier for folks to give you a donation.
It has a new look and three customizable suggested donation levels (including one that you can set as the default):
For launch, we’re setting the defaults to 10, 20, and 50 in whatever currency your Stripe is set to. You can adjust these easily in the Tip Jar interface in your OCC.
As a bonus, for Luna and above, we made it easy for you to change the URL of your Tip Jar. The default is /tip-jar, but you can now easily change that in the Tip Jar interface to whatever you like.
If you have already adjusted your tip jar URL, you can change this in the OCC to reflect that change. But if you do that, you will have to ensure that the tip jar has not been embedded twice in that page.
To check, go to the Tip Jar page on your site to see if it is in there twice. If it is, go to the page in Ghost, edit the page to remove one of the embeds, and then save.
