Autodisplay

Stars

Autodisplay allows you to show different kinds of CTAs to different levels of readers on posts across your site, with no need to manually insert them into posts. This includes pop-ups that show up on your post pages, a pop-up for your homepage, slide-up (like you might see on Bloomberg News), and auto-inserted CTAs like subscribe boxes in your posts.

These are Ghost-native, so you can easily have pop-ups that are only shown to unknown/unregistered readers, while free readers get CTAs that encourage them to upgrade or take advantage of a discount. Meanwhile, you can spare you paying readers from pop-ups and CTAs, or you can use them selectively to encourage them to give a donation, give a gift subscription, or upgrade from monthly to annual.

These are dynamic, so if you make a change in the Outpost Control Center, it changes across your site on all your posts automatically. There are also fine-grained controls so that you can show different CTAs on different posts with particular tags. For instance, if you have a set of posts that are tagged "financial advice," you could have a CTA on those posts that emphasizes your money-coverage.

On the flip side, you can also exclude CTAs from posts with particular tags. There's an ever-growing library of design choices for the CTAs from simple buttons to pop-ups that run across the full length of the screen, to slimline "subscribe" boxes that have the email address and the submit button all on one line.

These CTAs are quite powerful at getting drive-by readers to join your email list, and as part of your daily and weekly reports, you will get statistics on which of your CTAs are working best. This is a Luna+ feature.
